The only way to walk on the beach is with a boat tour as there is no path down the steep cliffs. Another must see is Marathonisi island, known as turtle island which is a small island near the south coast of Zakynthos. Part of the island is a protected breeding ground for loggerhead sea turtles. Zakynthos is also famous for its nightlife, particularly in the region of Laganas. Many all-night bars and clubs are located here.
