Cruising for Everyone:
ITAA Highlights Incredible Cruise Holiday Value for Irish Travellers
From river cruises and family adventures to luxury Mediterranean escapes, there has never been a better time to discover cruising. The Irish Travel Agents Association (ITAA) is encouraging Irish holidaymakers to take a fresh look at cruising, highlighting a wide range of cruise experiences that cater to every type of traveller and budget.
Once considered a niche holiday option, cruising has evolved into one of the most diverse and inclusive ways to travel, offering everything from family-friendly adventures and cultural river voyages to adults-only luxury escapes and all-inclusive Mediterranean sailings.
With the convenience of flights from Ireland, accommodation, dining, entertainment and multiple destinations included in one holiday, cruising continues to grow in popularity among Irish travellers seeking value, variety and hassle-free travel. Latest figures from Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), show that 72,000 Irish holidaymakers took an ocean cruise in 2025 — an increase of 12.2% on 2024 and the highest number ever recorded for the Irish market.
The ITAA is encouraging holidaymakers to book through licensed and bonded travel agents who can help match travellers with the cruise experience best suited to their needs and budget.
From selecting the right ship and itinerary to arranging flights, transfers and travel insurance, ITAA members provide expert guidance and consumer protection throughout the holiday experience.
Cruising offers a unique opportunity to experience multiple destinations while only unpacking once, making it one of the most convenient and rewarding ways to travel. Choose from rivers or oceans and luxury to family-friendly sailings, there truly is a cruise holiday to suit everyone.
