ITAA respond to closure of Oomi Travel
Well known specialist travel business has ceased trading
The Irish Travel Agents Association (ITAA) has noted with regret the cessation of trading of Oomi Travel Ltd.
Holidaymakers who purchased a package with Oomi Travel and have concerns should contact the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA). Customers may be eligible for a refund. Details on how to make your claim can be found on the IAA website (www.iaa.ie).
Clare Dunne, CEO of the ITAA said, “It is a sad occurrence in the travel industry when a long established business closes its doors. Oomi Travel, previously known as Unique Japan Tours, was founded over 20 years ago and was widely regarded as a leading provider of luxury packages to Japan and India.”
She continued, “Oomi Travel customers may be eligible for a refund. We advise anyone affected to contact the IAA and complete a claim form to be submitted by post only by 25th June 2026.”
The original statement announcing the change in trade has been posted on the Irish Aviation Authority website and can be read at www.iaa.ie.
