Ryanair Moves to 100% Digital Boarding Passes – Effective 12 November 2025

12 November 2025

From 12 November 2025, Ryanair will move to Digital Boarding Passes (DBP) only.
Paper boarding passes will no longer be issued. All passengers must check in online via Ryanair.com or the Ryanair App. This change applies to all Ryanair routes and fare types, except for flights to or from Morocco, where printed boarding passes remain required due to local regulations.

How It Works

  1. Check in online via Ryanair.com or the Ryanair App
  2. You’ll receive email reminders 48 and 24 hours before your flight
  3. Your Digital Boarding Pass will appear in the Ryanair App after check in
  4. Show your pass on your phone at airport security and when boarding
  5. If you don’t check in online before arriving at the airport, you will be charged an airport check in fee.
  6. Note: Digital Boarding Passes are not accepted for flights to or from Morocco – passengers on these routes must present a printed boarding pass

If Something Goes Wrong

  1. If your phone is lost or battery dies before security, Ryanair will issue a free paper boarding pass at the Ryanair Desk at the airport as long as you’ve checked in online
  2. If your device stops working after security, Ryanair staff will assist you at the gate
  3. If you don’t have a smartphone, as long as you’ve checked in online, a free paper pass will be provided at the airport
