Sorrento, 7 nights, 5th June 2020, €1458 pp

Visit breathtaking Sorrento, known as the land of the sirens in honour of the mythical maidens -monsters who were once said to live there, with this great value offer from Travalue.ie!

A coastal town in southwestern Italy, Sorrento faces the Bay of Naples on the Sorrentine Peninsula. Perched atop cliffs that separate the town from its busy marinas, it’s known for sweeping water views and Piazza Tasso, a cafe-lined square. The historic center is a warren of narrow alleys that wind their way through hills covered in olive trees and lemon groves, passing through sleepy villages and tiny fishing ports.  Sorrento is home to the Chiesa di San Francesco, a beautiful 14th-century church with a tranquil cloister. There are magnificent views at every turn, the best from the high points overlooking Punta Campanella, the westernmost point of the Sorrento Peninsula.

More developed and less appealing than the coast west of Sorrento, the area to the east of town protects the district’s longest sandy beach, Spiaggia di Alimuri, at Meta, and the Roman villas at Castellammare di Stabia. From Castellammare you can catch a cable car to the top of Monte Faito.

The Hotel Antiche Mura in Sorrento is an elegant 4-star hotel located in the heart of the city of Sorrento with comfortable rooms and suites, swimming pool, solarium, and a beautiful citrus grove garden overlooking the old walls of Sorrento and the “Ancient Valley of the Mills” dating back to the XVI century. The Hotel also offers an external Spa Centre located 800m from the hotel, and offers car transfers and private yacht tours.

The hotel combines elegant, traditional decor with comfort and innovative technology to satisfy the all customers. Located in the centre of Sorrento it is within walking distance from public transport and all amenities.

Price includes: Return flights, checked in luggage, Return airport transfers, 7 nights stay in the Hotel Antiche Mura with breakfast daily.
