Ireland’s largest Travel Trade Show takes place in Dublin next Thursday

Dublin, 1st April 2016  The second annual Irish Travel Industry Trade Show, a combined initiative from the Irish Travel Agents Association (ITAA) and Business Exhibitions, is taking place in the Ballsbridge Hotel, Dublin 4, this Thursday, 7th April 2016. With over 117 exhibitors, including a NEW Portuguese Pavilion made up of 21 companies, this is the biggest travel trade show ever held in Ireland.

As part of the show, all registered travel agents and tour operators will be invited to attend an American style BBQ, sponsored by Aer Lingus to celebrate the launch of their new routes to LA, Hartford and Newark later this year. Guests will enjoy a complimentary BBQ with refreshments together with live music, spot prizes and a special guest appearance from the Irish rugby player, Sean O’Brien.

A large attendance of travel professionals is expected at this one-day travel extravaganza which offers a fantastic opportunity for travel agents and tour operators to network with their fellow professionals and discover the latest in travel innovation, product demonstrations and new customer experiences from a range of International exhibitors. A superb collection of spot prizes will also be distributed throughout the day and evening.

The show will also host the ITAA AGM. This year’s AGM, sponsored by Travelport, takes place at 3pm and will include an election for the new President of the ITAA. Following Travelsavers and Worldchoice management meetings in the morning, the Spanish Tourist Board will host a luncheon for invited guests from 12.30pm to 2.00pm. At 2pm the President of the ITAA Martin Skelly will officially open the Irish Travel Industry Trade Show, which is supported by Dublin Airport and Lowcostbeds. The trade show will close at 7pm and guests are then invited to attend the BBQ, sponsored by Aer Lingus, which will feature entertainment until late.

Pat Dawson, CEO of the ITAA said, “We’re very excited to be working with Business Exhibitions again to present the second annual Irish Travel Industry Trade Show. This event offers travel professionals a unique opportunity to meet with trade professionals at all levels, from owners and managers to frontline staff.
