ITAA Statement following IAA’s Direction to Irish Airlines operating in Egypt

Dublin, 5th November 2015  Following the Irish Aviation Authority’s announcement yesterday, advising Irish airlines not to operate to/from Sharm el‐Sheikh Airport, Egypt or in the Egyptian Sinai Peninsula airspace until further notice, the ITAA are recommending that all holiday makers planning to travel to Egypt follow the advice of the Department of Foreign Affairs.

 

Pat Dawson, CEO of the ITAA said, “We continue to monitor the situation in Egypt in close partnership with the Department of Foreign Affairs. There are currently no charters to Sharm el-Sheikh. The ITAA are recommending that anyone considering travelling to Egypt follow the advice on the Department of Foreign Affairs website.”
