25th October, 2013: The Irish Travel Agents Association (ITAA) has
welcomed the announcement that Ryanair has launched eight new services
from Shannon Airport to destinations across Europe, including Berlin,
Paris and Warsaw.
Pat Dawson, ITAA CEO said, “The ITAA are delighted to see airlines
following through on their promise to produce at least one million extra
passengers.
We look forward to further announcements from other airports and
airlines around the country and further routes that will be sustainable
in the future.
Pat continued, “As stated previously, anything that brings income to the
country is good for our members as that money circulates in the economy
and everyone benefits, particularly employment, and the additional
routes will contribute to this.”
