Operations Manager

My client, a leading school group travel firm based in Dublin City Centre are seeking to hire a suitable candidate for the position of Operations Manager.

Job Specification:

Managing the day to day Operations Department

Allocation of groups within in the department

Maintaining the in-house computer system to ensure efficiency and accuracy of travel documentation

Liaise with suppliers – hoteliers, coach companies, guides etc.

Liaise with clients and planning itineraries

Ensure tours are within budget and maintain the margin on the group

Negotiate prices with suppliers

Preparation of travel documents

Problem solving when issues arise on the road or pre-travel

Back up support to our On-call service whilst the groups are on tour

Handling customer queries and complaints when escalated by the team

Ongoing training of staff to ensure a high level of customer service

Monitoring feedback from groups to ensure improvement in service

Assist in all areas of the company as and when required

Previous experience of outbound group travel from Ireland is essential for this role.

 

The salary is highly negotiable and will be dependent on experience.
