Flight Operations Resume At Dublin Airport
August 26 2015
Flight operations have resumed at Dublin Airport after they were suspended for about 90 minutes due to a fire in one of the hangars at the airport.
Due to the disruption, there are likely to be knock-on delays to flights this morning and passengers are advised to check with their airline regarding their flight status.
The fire was in Hangar 3, a restricted area which is separate from the passenger facilities. As all of our fire crews were dealing with the incident, flight operations were temporarily suspended.
There were no reports of any injuries due to the fire and Eirtech Aviation, which operates from the hangar, has confirmed that all of its personnel were evacuated and are safe.
Dublin Airport regrets any inconvenience to passengers as a result of this incident.
